~Law Enforcement

The Valencia Community Partnership assesses the community needs and community
assets. With a vast network of partners, the Valencia Community Partnership develops resources and health planning to assist the community.

Priorities for 2006-2007

Substance Abuse Core Team: Focuses on ways to decrease substance abuse in Valencia County with the primary aim of reducing adolescent alcohol use.
Teen Pregnancy Task Force: Concentrates on improving the health of teens by reducing the number of pregnant teens and helping already parenting teens get prenatal care so their babies are born healthy.
Access to Care: Task force is focusing on the hospital initiative for Valencia County.
Maternal Child Health Council: Assesses health needs of women and children, provides Advocacy for families at the state and local level, and works to assure commuity resources work in coordination to meet the needs of childbearing women and their families.
